The Microsoft Imagine Cup is an international competition with millions of students competing worldwide. After passing the preliminary rounds, teams present their solutions to CEOs of major companies. Through Imagine Cup, College Freshmen can work in a startup-like environment, where they can make software that solves an important problem in the world using Microsoft Azure. Students can win prizes such as cash, travel, and mentoring.

Our team decided to create a mobile application HiveMind that detects the likelihood that a bee colony will experience colony collapse disorder using Microsoft Azure’s image processing API and TensorFlow to train the machine learning model. We are currently testing the hives are small business beekeepers.
